Software Engineer & Builder
T-Level Digital Production student. Amazon placement graduate. I build AI-assisted operational tools, accessible web platforms, and real-time systems — focused on real-world impact at every layer of the stack.
Selected Projects
01 — Primary
Amazon Prime Video · Individual Project · 2025
A real-time operational intelligence tool for on-call engineers at Prime Video. Engineers needed faster access to the right data during live incidents — TicketScope surfaces operational insights the moment they're needed, reducing cognitive load when it matters most.
Built around a TypeScript MCP server I engineered from scratch, aggregating structured data from multiple internal sources and enabling AI-assisted querying. The React frontend provides intuitive interaction with Recharts visualisations, designed around low-latency flows for real-time decision making. Confirmed for company-wide adoption.
"He is a quick learner who demonstrates an impeccable work ethic. His ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals in professional settings makes you forget the fact he's only 17."
02 — EPQ Artefact
Personal Project · EPQ Primary Artefact · Live on Vercel
An accessibility-focused revision web app supporting neurodivergent learners — my EPQ primary artefact. A research-led project combining UX design principles with technical implementation to serve a real and underserved user group.
Uses localStorage caching to preserve user progress without any backend reliance, keeping it fast and friction-free. Design decisions were grounded in accessibility research throughout. The app is live and has reached 30+ real users.
03 — Team Project
Amazon · T-Level Group Project · 4-Week Sprint
A fully accessible, multi-page promotional website for Amazon T-Level placements — presented to an audience of 80+ people. I delivered 95% of all frontend development in a 4-week sprint, while simultaneously mentoring other cohort members with their own projects.
Designed the full visual identity from scratch — colour palette, typography, component library — before writing a line of code. Passed accessibility audit with full WCAG 2.1 compliance.
"He was no doubt one of the main leading factors of our success. His determination led to him writing 99 percent of the front end, committing his time not only to the code but to helping his team understand the process behind it all."
"Joshan showed Learning & Development throughout — reaching out to others when uncertain, and helping those around him during periods of uncertainty. His collaboration and ownership of his tasks was evident through our bi-daily meetings."
04 — Experimental
Personal Project · Computer Vision · Python
A gesture-control prototype for accessibility-driven interaction. Uses Python and MediaPipe for real-time hand tracking, mapping gestures to system actions including dynamic pinch-to-zoom logic engineered from scratch. Built independently end-to-end: motion detection through to functional execution.
Experience
Software Development Engineer
Amazon Prime Video
Built TicketScope — an MCP server to React frontend operational metrics tool confirmed for company-wide adoption. Launched a T-Level promotional website presented to 80+ people. Learned and shipped TypeScript, React, Chart.js, EC2, and S3 during the placement. Participated in weekly business meetings and daily standups across 9 weeks.
Placement Participant
Amazon · Step Up Work Experience
Collaborated on a team prototype application using AWS PartyRock AI, designing and implementing core features based on user requirements. Presented the completed application to an audience and worked closely with AWS/Prime Video mentors.
Junior Full Stack Assistant
Tribeca
Shadowed full-stack developers and worked alongside a lead back-end developer, gaining hands-on exposure to application architecture and database management. Contributed to team problem-solving sessions and demonstrated initiative throughout.
About
My route into software started in gaming and modding communities — collaborating on Minecraft and Counter-Strike projects taught me to debug unfamiliar codebases, iterate fast, and ship solutions for real users. That investigative mindset has stayed constant.
During my Amazon placement I taught myself React and TypeScript from scratch while delivering TicketScope — a production-grade AI-assisted operational tool confirmed for company-wide adoption. At the same time I was mentoring fellow placement students on JavaScript, Git, and frontend architecture.
Outside formal work I manage operations for a modding services community supporting hundreds of clients. I facilitate high-value transactions as an intermediary, organise large-scale events (12× participant growth since 2023), and translate ambiguous user needs into clear technical requirements. Different domain, same skills.
My EPQ artefact is NeuroNav — a deployed, research-led accessibility app with 30+ real users. I was also awarded Best Candidate from the BAE Systems mock interview programme.
Long-term I want to build efficient, scalable, and ethically grounded AI systems — at the intersection of connectivity, infrastructure, and intelligent automation.
